A private yacht charter in Komodo is priced per package for the whole boat, by guest band. The lowest 3D2N figure is USD 6,000 (Malca, 1 to 12 guests, 2026 and 2027 rate cards, checked 24 September 2026), park charges separate. Our reservations desk answers how much to charter a yacht in Komodo most days, and the answer is never a figure for one night. Komodo Luxury (Labuan Bajo, since 2015) prices four boats on its own rate card: Malca, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia. Below are every 3D2N band for 2026 and 2027, package totals from one night to a week, the per-person arithmetic, the extras, and how a booking is held, written the way we answer it on the desk.
Quick answer (24 September 2026): chartering a yacht in Komodo costs from USD 6,000 per 3D2N package for the whole boat (Malca, 1 to 12 guests). The top band is USD 10,400 (Naturalia, 17 to 24 guests, 2027). One night (2D1N) from USD 5,300; a week (7D6N) from USD 18,000. Rate cards of 11 September 2026; park charges separate.

Is a Komodo yacht charter priced per person, by the night or per package?
Per package, for the whole boat. A private charter is the whole boat for your group alone, priced per package by guest band, on dates you choose. A guest band is the passenger range (for example 1 to 12) that sets one package price for the whole boat. Ask how much a private boat in Komodo costs and the desk answers with that package: vessel, crew, chef, all meals, snorkelling gear and the itinerary, divided across your guests. We do not convert it into a figure for one night, because the packages are not straight multiples: on Malca, 2D1N is USD 5,300 and 3D2N is USD 6,000 for the same band. Call it a Komodo cruise, a Komodo liveaboard or a Komodo boat tour; the Komodo yacht charter cost has three inputs: boat, guest band and duration.
The four boats on the Komodo Luxury rate card are Malca (up to 21 guests), Ayvara (up to 15), Catnazse (up to 18) and Naturalia (up to 24). Every other yacht on komodoluxury.com is a partner vessel in one of three classes on the Komodo yacht charter rates page: Deluxe phinisi such as Sora, VIP phinisi such as Le Costa, Neptune, Mosalaki and Pinta, and VVIP class yachts such as Kayra, Prana, Silolona and Lamima. We quote them on request after checking with the owner; their rates and availability are not published here. Komodo Luxury is a specialist maritime brand under Juara Holding Group; charters are operated by PT Komodo Bahari Nusantara. Rates are presented for review and are not a booking offer; itinerary, services, taxes, payment and cancellation terms are confirmed in your quotation.

From our reservations desk. Of 11,254 guest messages to our concierge desk (2025 to 2026), 1,190 touched price and 981 a private charter; 768 of the private-charter messages arrived in September 2026. Five questions sit behind them. We are a group of N, which boat fits (789 messages, 506 conversations). How much for the whole boat (131 / 97). Our budget is this much, is that realistic (103 / 71). Two nights or three (31 / 26). How much deposit holds it (188 / 112). This post answers them in that order.
We are a group of N: which boat fits, and what does the whole boat cost for 3D2N?
Guest count sets the band, and the band narrows the boat. 3D2N means three days and two nights on the boat, boarding on the morning of day one and docking before noon on day three. It is the itinerary most private groups ask for.
| Boat | Guest band | 3D2N 2026 (USD, whole boat) | 3D2N 2027 (USD, whole boat) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malca | 1 to 12 | USD 6,000 | USD 6,000 |
| Malca | 13 to 18 | USD 6,700 | USD 6,700 |
| Ayvara | 1 to 8 | USD 6,200 | USD 6,200 |
| Ayvara | 9 to 15 | USD 7,000 | USD 7,000 |
| Catnazse | 1 to 12 | USD 7,100 | USD 7,800 |
| Catnazse | 13 to 18 | USD 8,000 | USD 8,800 |
| Naturalia | 1 to 8 | USD 8,200 | USD 8,500 |
| Naturalia | 9 to 16 | USD 9,200 | USD 9,500 |
| Naturalia | 17 to 24 | USD 10,100 | USD 10,400 |
Read it by headcount. Two to eight guests fit the first band on every boat, so the choice is the boat itself: Malca and Ayvara have 7 cabins, Catnazse and Naturalia 8. Nine to twelve stay in the first band on Malca and Catnazse but move Ayvara and Naturalia up one band. Thirteen to eighteen fit Malca, Catnazse or Naturalia; nineteen to twenty-four fit Naturalia, or two boats on one itinerary. Malca’s card adds USD 300 per guest per 3D2N package beyond the band, separate from the charter total and confirmed in your quotation. The Komodo private trip page lists the same four boats.

How much does the price change with one night, two nights or a week?
The total rises with each night; the desk quotes the package, not the night. One night (2D1N) covers the Komodo dragons, the Padar viewpoint and Pink Beach. The second night reaches Manta Point and Taka Makassar; a fourth or fifth adds the north of the park. The table shows the first guest band on each boat; higher bands and 6D5N are on the same card.
| Boat, first band, year | 2D1N | 3D2N | 4D3N | 5D4N | 7D6N |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Malca, 1 to 12, 2026 and 2027 | USD 5,300 | USD 6,000 | USD 9,000 | USD 12,000 | USD 18,000 |
| Ayvara, 1 to 8, 2026 and 2027 | USD 5,500 | USD 6,200 | USD 9,300 | USD 12,400 | USD 18,600 |
| Catnazse, 1 to 12, 2026 | USD 5,900 | USD 7,100 | USD 10,600 | USD 14,200 | USD 21,300 |
| Catnazse, 1 to 12, 2027 | USD 6,400 | USD 7,800 | USD 11,700 | USD 15,600 | USD 23,400 |
| Naturalia, 1 to 8, 2026 | USD 7,400 | USD 8,200 | USD 12,400 | USD 16,500 | USD 24,700 |
| Naturalia, 1 to 8, 2027 | USD 7,600 | USD 8,500 | USD 12,800 | USD 17,100 | USD 25,600 |
Two edges of the card. Full-day charters without an overnight exist on Catnazse (USD 5,200 in 2026, USD 5,600 in 2027, 1 to 12 guests) and Naturalia (USD 5,100 and USD 5,400, 1 to 8 guests). Malca and Ayvara start at 2D1N. Beyond a week, Catnazse is the one boat with published rates, up to 12D11N at USD 39,000 (2026) and USD 42,900 (2027) for 1 to 12 guests. If the question is how much a Komodo Island tour costs for one day without a phinisi, the answer is a private speedboat. Those are published from USD 680 per boat for one to four guests on the Komodo day trip page (speedboat catalogue 2026, read 11 September 2026). Weighing 2D1N against 3D2N? Our note on the Komodo 2 days 1 night boat trip shows what one night does and does not reach.

What does the whole-boat package work out to per person?
Division, with one caveat: the band is fixed, so the per-person share moves with headcount and nothing else. Twelve guests on Malca for 3D2N pay USD 6,000 for the boat, USD 500 each; ten pay USD 600; eight pay USD 750. Fourteen guests on Ayvara sit in the 9 to 15 band at USD 7,000, USD 500 each. Twelve on Malca for 5D4N (USD 12,000) pay USD 1,000 each; ten for a week (USD 18,000) pay USD 1,800. The park ticket is added per person on top. That is how much a Komodo trip costs per head on a private boat.
Set that against a shared sailing. A Komodo open trip is a scheduled shared sailing of three days and two nights, sold per cabin, on a fixed Friday-to-Sunday or Monday-to-Wednesday rhythm. Cabins on the same four boats run from USD 300 per person (Malca triple cabin, three sharing, 2026 and 2027) to USD 850 (Naturalia, 2027) on the Komodo open trip page. We are plain about the arithmetic. For a couple it works out higher per person than a shared cabin; for six or more the whole-boat rate is shared across everyone on board. From about ten guests a private Malca lands inside the shared-cabin range. Our note on private charter versus open trip cost per person runs the sums for other group sizes. If your budget is one amount for the whole trip, send it with your headcount and we match it to a band. To compare every whole-boat option on one page, start from private yacht charter Komodo.
What is not in the charter price?
Five lines sit outside every package, private or shared. Your quotation itemises each one.

- Komodo National Park ticket. The Komodo National Park ticket is excluded from the trip price, set by government regulation, billed as its own line per person and confirmed by our desk. The tariff is set under PP 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai: IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, IDR 50,000 per Indonesian visitor per day (IDR 75,000 on Sundays and public holidays). Our desk registers guests, pays the park and lists the park line separately on the invoice (Balai Taman Nasional Komodo tariff page, read 24 September 2026). Since 22 September 2026 the park requires entry on the date printed on the e-ticket (Balai Taman Nasional Komodo, 22 September 2026). No operator can promise quota; it is confirmed at registration. Tickets are non-refundable. Full notice: Komodo National Park quota update.
- Taxes and fees. Taxes, where a vessel carries them, are stated in your quotation, not in this guide.
- Diving, drinks and special requests. Snorkelling gear is on board. Scuba diving, imported wine and spirits, a beach dinner or a photographer are quoted on request. A drone needs a park permit; ask the desk first.
- Flights and pick-up. Bali (DPS) to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) is about 1 hour 15 minutes by air; fares are set by the airlines and change from day to day. Pick-up in Labuan Bajo on sailing days is arranged by the desk and shown in your quotation.
- Gratuities and insurance. Tipping the crew is at your discretion. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical care and, if you dive, diving.

How do we book and hold a private charter?
- Send your dates and guest count. Dates, number of guests including children, duration and any boat preference set the band, the year and the boats that fit.
- We check availability for your exact dates and confirm it in writing. Availability is per boat, per date; if your boat is taken, the same message says which band fits on the others.
- Read the quotation. It carries the package figure for your band and year, the itinerary, inclusions, the park line per person, taxes and the payment and cancellation terms. Rates are not a booking offer until that quotation is confirmed.
- Pay the deposit. A deposit secures the boat and the dates; reservations cannot be confirmed until we have received the payment. The balance is due by the balance date printed on your invoice. If you prefer to pay by credit card, we can send you the payment link. Cancellation and refunds follow the booking terms on your invoice and our terms and conditions page.
- We register the park tickets. Send each guest’s full name as in the passport, passport number, nationality and gender. Our desk registers the ticket for your sailing dates; the park requires entry on the ticketed date.
- Allow the lead time. Bookings reach the desk about two months ahead; for July, August and the Christmas to New Year window, send dates as soon as you have them. See how far ahead to book a Komodo charter. The Harbour Master regulates all sailing, so any itinerary is tentative and may change with sea conditions; ask for the docking time in writing before you book onward flights.
