A Raja Ampat honeymoon cruise is a fully private voyage through the islands of Raja Ampat — an archipelago of over 1,500 islands in West Papua, Indonesia — aboard a dedicated luxury vessel crewed entirely for you. Unlike a resort stay or a group liveaboard, a private honeymoon cruise gives couples exclusive use of the boat, the crew, the itinerary, and every romantic moment in between.
Every Raja Ampat honeymoon trip we run is a private honeymoon liveaboard — a romantic boat trip on your own vessel, with no shared guests at any point.
Your vessel — a handcrafted Indonesian phinisi or a modern luxury yacht — becomes your floating private island. Each morning you wake to a different anchorage. Each afternoon your captain navigates to a hidden lagoon or a deserted white sand beach that exists only for you. Each evening your private chef sets the dinner table on deck under open sky.
Raja Ampat is known worldwide as the heart of the Coral Triangle — the planet's most biodiverse marine ecosystem, home to over 1,600 species of fish, 75% of the world's known coral species, manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, and dugongs. Honeymooners who choose a Raja Ampat cruise are not just choosing a beautiful destination. They are choosing the most extraordinary underwater world on the planet as the backdrop to the first chapter of their married life.
Destination Highlights
Sorong (SOQ) is the gateway to Raja Ampat. Fly from Bali (Denpasar, DPS) or Jakarta (CGK) with Lion Air, Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, or Sriwijaya Air. Flight time from Bali: approx. 3.5–5 hours with one stop.
Your Komodo Luxury representative meets you at Sorong Airport and transfers you directly to the marina. We coordinate your arrival with the boat's provisioning schedule so embarkation is seamless.
Step aboard your private phinisi, meet your crew, and sail east into the Coral Triangle. Within 2 hours of leaving Sorong, your first snorkeling stop in pristine, uncrowded waters awaits.
Other Signature Charter Experiences
Every voyage with Komodo Luxury is a private affair. From the handcrafted elegance of a traditional phinisi to the sleek performance of a modern catamaran, our fleet is curated for guests who expect nothing less than extraordinary. Choose your vessel, define your itinerary, and let the Indonesian archipelago unfold entirely on your terms.
For a 2027 honeymoon here, fix the date before anything else — the Raja Ampat season is short (October-April), and celebration dates cannot slide, so vessels are held for confirmed dates first. A full phinisi divided among two or three couples also reframes the math: private, but shared sensibly by cabin; season texture month-by-month is in our Raja Ampat season by month.
If the date falls October-December, yes — the season opens then and our own fleet gives us room to move on shorter notice.
The moment the wedding date is fixed — the sailing window is half a year, and its best weeks close from both ends (2027 charter calendar).

A private Raja Ampat honeymoon cruise with Komodo Luxury starts from USD 4,000 per yacht per night for a boutique phinisi, rising to USD 17,000 per night for VVIP superyachts. Every departure is a whole-boat charter with captain, crew, private chef and a fully customisable island-hopping itinerary across Wayag, Piaynemo and Misool.
Couples comparing vessels can review the full Raja Ampat yacht charter fleet and rates, or browse the wider Raja Ampat luxury cruise programme for non-honeymoon departures. If your dates suit Flores better, the Komodo honeymoon cruise delivers the same private-charter formula closer to Bali, while the private trip Raja Ampat itinerary sets out the day-by-day routing. Many couples begin or end the voyage with a few days in Bali arranged through Bali Premium Trip.
