| Fee item | Amount (IDR) | Notes & source basis |
|---|---|---|
| Entrance ticket, international visitor | 250,000 / person / day | Set under Government Regulation No. 36/2024, as displayed by the Balai. Our desk registers every guest and lists the park line separately on your invoice. |
| Entrance ticket, Indonesian visitor | 50,000 per day; 75,000 on Sundays and public holidays | Per PP 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai. The poster publishes no separate trekking or snorkelling line, and local guide or ranger service charges sit outside that table, so our desk confirms in writing what applies on your dates. |
| Dated e-ticket rule | Entry only on the printed date | Balai Taman Nasional Komodo notice of 22 September 2026: every visitor enters on the date printed on the e-ticket; the ticket does not carry over and is non-refundable. |
| Daily quota | Confirmed at registration | The Ministry of Forestry set a cap of 1,000 visitors a day from 1 April 2026 and called it adaptive on 24 April 2026. Quota belongs to the park; no operator can promise it. |
| Diver surcharge | 25,000 per diver per day | Scuba diving carries its own daily line under PP 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai, charged on top of the entrance ticket for every day you dive. Our desk pays it and lists it separately on your invoice. |
| Water-vehicle entry ticket | Per boat per day, by engine power or passenger capacity | Per PP 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai: speedboats and motor vessels are rated by engine power, cruise vessels by passenger capacity. Charged per boat rather than per guest, and absorbed into trip handling on an organised charter rather than billed at the jetty. |
on Komodo Island and the Padar viewpoint trail. A ranger walks with every group in dragon habitat because the park requires it. The PP 36/2024 tariff displayed by the Balai publishes no separate ranger line, and local guide charges sit outside that table, so our desk confirms in writing what applies on your dates rather than quoting a figure from memory.
sits inside the park, so the entry date printed on your ticket covers it rather than a second entrance ticket. South Padar runs on timed sessions (Detik, 5 February 2026).
at Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and the other sites on your route. Scuba diving is the activity that carries its own daily line under the PP 36/2024 tariff, IDR 25,000 per diver per day.
across the islands your route visits, on the entry date printed on the e-ticket.
Two worked examples make the table concrete. A non-diving international visitor on a standard park day pays the entrance line set under Government Regulation No. 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai, IDR 250,000 per person per day, and the ticket carries the ranger escort, trekking on Komodo and Padar, and snorkelling. If the route uses a park harbour, a harbour component applies on top. A certified diver doing two park dives adds the daily diver component to the same ticket. In both cases the vessel entry ticket is paid per boat by engine capacity, not per guest, and on an organised charter it is absorbed into trip handling rather than billed at the jetty. Indonesian visitors pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 on weekends and holidays, activities included.
The practical rule: ask any operator for a written, itemised breakdown for your exact dates. Ours lists the park line separately on the invoice, registers every guest for the sailing dates from the passport details on the booking, and pays the park in rupiah. Since 22 September 2026 entry is allowed only on the date printed on the e-ticket, so the registration date matters as much as the amount.
Tickets can be obtained several ways: through the official online portal, via accredited agents in Labuan Bajo, at the park visitor centre in Labuan Bajo, or at the gate on the day itself subject to the daily visitor quota. In practice, virtually all liveaboard and day-trip guests have tickets arranged by their operator in advance and simply present them at the ranger stations of Loh Liang (Komodo) or Loh Buaya (Rinca). A registration system now applies to all visitors, so booking ahead is the dependable route, and across our Komodo Luxury bookings made in 2026 the median guest reserved about two months before departure, which comfortably clears ticketing and quota timelines even in peak season.
A proposed high-price membership scheme for Komodo Island drew wide public debate and was not brought into force. We hold no primary document for that decision, so we record it here as background and not as a tariff line.
Government Regulation No. 36/2024 set the tariff the park still charges. The Balai displays it as IDR 250,000 per international visitor per day and IDR 50,000 per Indonesian visitor per day, IDR 75,000 on Sundays and public holidays, alongside separate lines for water-vehicle entry per boat per day, rated by engine power for speedboats and motor vessels and by passenger capacity for cruise vessels, for scuba diving at IDR 25,000 per diver per day, and a drone permit at IDR 2,000,000 per unit per day.
We hold no primary document showing a change to the PP 36/2024 tariff during 2025, and the Balai continued to display the same entrance lines, so nothing on this page moved that year. The park recorded 429,509 visitors in 2025 (CNA, 30 March 2026), the figure the 2026 carrying-capacity rules were built on.
The Ministry of Forestry set a daily cap of 1,000 visitors from 1 April 2026 (Ministry of Forestry, 15 April 2026) and described the cap as adaptive on 24 April 2026. Reservation runs through the park's SiOra application, at the latest the day before arrival (Detik, 5 February 2026). On 22 September 2026 the Balai announced that every visitor must enter on the date printed on the e-ticket, and that daily quota for September to December would be topped up by at least 500 a day in stages. The entrance lines themselves did not change: IDR 250,000 per international visitor per day, flat every day of the week, and IDR 50,000 per Indonesian visitor per day, IDR 75,000 on Sundays and public holidays.
No tariff change for 2027 has been published as of 25 September 2026. Komodo National Park moved to PPK-BLU status under KMK 186/2026 dated 22 July 2026, an administrative change that is not by itself evidence of a new tariff. We update this page when the Balai or the Ministry of Forestry publishes one.
The international ticket is valid for the entry date printed on it, so lock your sailing dates before ticketing. Changing dates means re-issuing.
The park’s visitor-registration system covers all guests; organized operators file it as part of standard handling.
Fee lines are structured per day/entry date, so a longer liveaboard route is ticketed accordingly. That is another reason itemized breakdowns matter.
The popular Rangko Cave trip sits outside park boundaries on the Flores mainland; only its local village fee and boat charter apply.
Nationality determines the tariff class, and spot checks at ranger stations do occur.
On any Komodo Luxury charter or shared sailing, park ticketing is handled end-to-end: dated tickets, ranger assignment, vessel entry, and the diving line where relevant are secured before departure and itemized in your booking. Our trip pricing is published in USD; park charges are government charges in rupiah that we administer on your behalf. See our Komodo tour packages for itineraries that pair the park circuit with Padar Island, Pink Beach and the Komodo dragon encounters the park is famous for. Or ask our concierge on WhatsApp at +62 811 3823 875 for a written fee breakdown for your exact dates.
