Komodo Liveaboard Prices 2026–2027: Complete Cost Tables

Pinta Phinisi

Last updated: September 2026 · Prices & availability verified for the 2026/2027 season

Komodo liveaboard prices in 2026 sit in two bands. A cabin on a scheduled shared departure costs from USD 300 to 800 per person for a 3-day, 2-night voyage. The whole boat, chartered privately, is one package total for the trip rather than a nightly rate: entry-luxury VIP phinisi from USD 5,300 for a 2D1N whole-boat package (Malca Voyages, 1 to 12 guests), rising by duration and guest band to USD 30,300 for a 7D6N package on Naturalia with 17 to 24 guests. Park entry and activity charges and, on some vessels, VAT are added on top. Every figure below is a 2026 published rate from the Komodo Luxury private-charter and open-trip rate cards, Final Edition 11 September 2026, unless marked 2027. Rates for 2027 are published on the Malca Voyages, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia cards; every other yacht named on this page is quoted by our reservations desk in writing.

The tables are published by the operator that sells the charters. Komodo Luxury is a luxury yacht charter group and phinisi operator sailing from Labuan Bajo since 2015. Four phinisi carry figures on this page, because their rate cards are the ones we publish: Malca Voyages, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia. Every other yacht named here, Komodo Signature and Komodo Prestige included, is booked through the Komodo Luxury reservations desk and quoted by that desk in writing. That is the rule this page follows. A figure appears only where we hold the rate card behind it.

Several of the boats in these tables, including the 25 m Ayvara and the 78.2 m Komodo Signature, also appear with their published specifications and cabin mix in the Komodo Luxury shipbuilding portfolio, which quotes no prices.

Quick answer (2026–2027): A Komodo liveaboard costs from USD 300 to 800 per person for a shared 3D2N cabin, or the whole boat as a private charter, quoted as one package total by duration and guest band (from USD 5,300 for a 2D1N package on Malca Voyages with 1 to 12 guests), at 2026 published rates. Published 3D2N private-trip packages run from USD 6,000 (Malca Voyages, 1 to 12 guests) to USD 10,100 (Naturalia, 17 to 24 guests) for the whole boat, 2026 rates, before park fees; larger groups pay the next band. Add VAT where a vessel is marked. Komodo National Park charges are set by government regulation and billed as their own line per person. 2027 rates are published on the Malca Voyages, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia cards; every other yacht here is quoted by our reservations desk in writing.

How much does a Komodo liveaboard cost per night in 2026?

Two pricing bases exist and they are not interchangeable. A charter rate is quoted for the entire vessel, with crew, chef, meals, fuel and guided excursions included: one package total by duration and group-size band, not a nightly rate multiplied out. A shared-departure rate is quoted per person for one cabin on a fixed 3D2N schedule. The Komodo liveaboard page and the Komodo yacht charter rates hub introduce both, and the list below groups the 2026 rates by class, each figure read from the vessel page that publishes it.

  • Class: Shared cabin (open trip). Basis: Per person, per 3D2N voyage; Published 2026 rate (USD): 300–800; Guests: 1–4 per cabin; Example vessels: Ayvara, Malca Voyages, Catnazse, Naturalia.
  • Class: Deluxe dive phinisi. Basis: Whole boat, quoted by our reservations desk in writing; Published 2026 rate (USD): none published here; Guests: up to 24; Example vessel: Sora (booked through the reservations desk, which confirms her rate and her calendar for your dates).
  • Class: VIP liveaboard. Basis: Whole boat, one package total by duration and group-size band (the from-figure on Malca, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia is the 2D1N package at the first band); Published 2026 rate (USD): 2D1N packages from 5,300 (Malca Voyages, 1–12 guests) to 7,400 (Naturalia, 1–8 guests), 3D2N from 6,000 to 8,200 at the first band; Guests: 15–24 by vessel; Example vessels: Malca Voyages, Ayvara, Catnazse, Naturalia, Neptune Cruise (quoted by the reservations desk).
  • Class: VVIP phinisi and expedition yacht. Basis: Whole boat, quoted by our reservations desk in writing; VAT added where a vessel page marks it; Published 2026 rate (USD): not published on this page; Guests: 8–22; Example vessels: Kayra, King Neptune (partner yachts booked through the reservations desk).
  • Class: Flagship expedition phinisi. Basis: Whole boat, quoted by our reservations desk in writing; Published 2026 rate (USD): quoted for your dates, not published on this page; Guests: 16–20; Example vessels: Komodo Prestige (66 m), Komodo Signature (78.2 m).

The entry point among the four boats priced on this page is Malca Voyages, from USD 5,300 for a 2D1N whole-boat package with 1 to 12 guests, one total for the boat rather than a nightly rate. The ceiling on those same four cards is Naturalia at USD 30,300 for a 7D6N package with 17 to 24 guests. Sora, Kayra, King Neptune, Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature sit outside those cards, so their figures come from the reservations desk in writing rather than from this page. Peak dates, Christmas and New Year sailings are quoted separately on every class.

Whole-boat rates and 3D2N totals for the Komodo Luxury boats

A private-trip rate card prices the whole boat as one package by duration and group-size band, and that card is the price basis. On Malca, Ayvara, Catnazse and Naturalia the from-figure is the 2D1N package at the first band, not a nightly rate. Longer trips are priced per package by group size, so the 3D2N figure is read from the package line rather than multiplied from any nightly figure. The list below carries figures for those four boats only. Pinta Phinisi, Mosalaki, Neptune Cruise, Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature are named without a figure, because their rates are quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates. Package prices are the 2026 and 2027 private-charter rate cards, Final Edition 11 September 2026, before park fees and before VAT where a page marks it.

  • Boat: Pinta Phinisi. Class: VIP; Cabins / guests: 5 / 13; 2D1N whole-boat package: quoted by our reservations desk in writing; 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band: quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates and guest count.

Class: VIP; Cabins / guests: 7 / 21; 2D1N whole-boat package (USD, 2026, 1–12 guests): 5,300 (2027 published: same); 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band (published rate card; USD unless marked): 6,000 (1–12 guests) / 6,700 (13–18); additional guest USD 300.

  • Boat: Naturalia. Class: VIP; Cabins / guests: 8 / 24; 2D1N whole-boat package (USD, 2026, 1–8 guests): 7,400 (2027 published: 7,600); 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band (published rate card; USD unless marked): 8,200 (1–8 guests) / 9,200 (9–16) / 10,100 (17–24); 2027 published: 8,500 / 9,500 / 10,400.
  • Boat: Neptune Cruise. Class: VIP; Cabins / guests: 7 / 20; 2D1N whole-boat package: quoted by our reservations desk in writing; 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band: quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates and guest count.
  • Boat: Komodo Prestige. Class: Flagship, 66 m; Cabins / guests: 8 suites / 16; Whole-boat rate: quoted by our reservations desk in writing; 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band: quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates and guest count.
  • Boat: Komodo Signature. Class: Flagship, 78.2 m; Cabins / guests: 10 suites / 20; Whole-boat rate: quoted by our reservations desk in writing; 3D2N private-trip package, whole boat, by group-size band: quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates and guest count.

Two boats in this group already publish 2027 private rates: Catnazse at USD 6,400 for the 2D1N package (1 to 12 guests) with a 2027 3D2N package of USD 7,800 (1 to 12 guests) or 8,800 (13 to 18), and Naturalia at USD 7,600 for the 2D1N package (1 to 8 guests) with a 2027 3D2N package of USD 8,500, 9,500 or 10,400 by band. Malca Voyages and Ayvara publish 2027 rates identical to 2026, so a 2027 sailing on either is priced from the same package table. Mosalaki, Pinta Phinisi, Neptune Cruise, Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature are quoted by the reservations desk for the year of your sailing, in writing, before any deposit. Which year applies is read from your sailing date, not from the date you enquire.

Shared cabin or whole boat: the per-person maths

Whether a private charter or a cabin on a Komodo open trip is the better value depends on group size, because the whole-boat price moves in group-size bands rather than per head. The four VIP phinisi on the weekly shared rota publish both a per-person cabin rate and a whole-boat 3D2N package, so the comparison can be made on the same boat. Cabin rates below are 2026 published rates per person for a weekend 3D2N departure; the whole-boat column is the vessel page’s 2026 3D2N private-trip package at its top group-size band, and the package covers every guest in the band, so dividing it by your own headcount gives the per-person figure to set against a cabin rate.

  • Boat (top published band): Malca Voyages (13–18 guests). Shared cabin, per person, 3D2N (USD): 300–580 (sharing bed in the triple: 330); Whole boat, 3D2N package, top band (USD, 2026): 6,700.
  • Boat (top published band): Ayvara Cruises (9–15 guests). Shared cabin, per person, 3D2N (USD): 450–570; Whole boat, 3D2N package, top band (USD, 2026): 7,000.
  • Boat (top published band): Catnazse Liveaboard (13–18 guests). Shared cabin, per person, 3D2N (USD): 430–680; Whole boat, 3D2N package, top band (USD, 2026): 8,000.
  • Boat (top published band): Naturalia (17–24 guests). Shared cabin, per person, 3D2N (USD): 400–800; Whole boat, 3D2N package, top band (USD, 2026): 10,100.

The pattern is clear. A boat filled to the top of its band costs about the same per head as a lower to mid-range shared cabin, and the group gets the vessel, the route and the schedule to itself. The crossover sits around eleven or twelve guests: on Malca Voyages, one to twelve guests share the same USD 6,000 3D2N package, thirteen to eighteen share USD 6,700, and Malca’s card lists an additional guest at USD 300 for a 3D2N, with the point at which it applies confirmed in the written quotation, so the cost per head falls as the band fills. Couples and solo travellers are the natural fit for a shared cabin, and the lowest published cabin rate is USD 300 per person, three guests sharing Malca’s triple room. Groups of eight or more should price a private yacht charter in Komodo first. The worked examples in our guide to the private charter vs open trip cost per person take the same maths across other boats and durations.

What is in the rate, and what is not

Inclusions vary a little by vessel, so the written quotation is the document that applies. The table summarises what the liveaboard and charter pages publish for 2026.

Background on how park charges are structured is on the Komodo National Park entrance fees page; our reservations desk registers each guest, pays the park and itemises the government charges for your exact dates. Since 22 September 2026 the park admits a visitor only on the date printed on the e-ticket, quota is confirmed at registration rather than promised in advance, and tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

Private diving packages: 2026 and 2027 published rates

Divers who want the whole boat take a private charter and have the diving built around the sailing, which is how diving runs in Komodo: shared departures are leisure sailings and cannot carry scuba. The boat is priced from its package table, and the diving programme is quoted separately per dive by our dive team, equipment included, with the park’s diving charges per person on top. Pinta Phinisi, Mosalaki and Magika Liveaboard also take dive charters; our reservations desk confirms their calendars and their rates in writing.

  • Whole-boat charter, 4D3N. Package total for the boat at the first guest band, 2026: Malca USD 9,000 (1 to 12 guests), Ayvara USD 9,300 (1 to 8), Catnazse USD 10,600 (1 to 12), Naturalia USD 12,400 (1 to 8); larger groups pay the next band.
  • Whole-boat charter, 5D4N. First guest band, 2026: Malca USD 12,000, Ayvara USD 12,400, Catnazse USD 14,200, Naturalia USD 16,500.
  • Whole-boat charter, 6D5N. First guest band, 2026: Malca USD 15,000, Ayvara USD 15,500, Catnazse USD 17,700, Naturalia USD 20,600.
  • Whole-boat charter, 7D6N. First guest band, 2026: Malca USD 18,000, Ayvara USD 18,600, Catnazse USD 21,300, Naturalia USD 24,700.
  • Whole-boat charter, 8D7N. Catnazse is the one card here that runs past 7D6N: USD 24,800 for 1 to 12 guests, USD 27,900 for 13 to 18, 2026.
  • Whole-boat charter, 10D9N. Catnazse again: USD 31,900 for 1 to 12 guests, USD 35,900 for 13 to 18, 2026; her card continues to 12D11N.

Each figure is for the whole vessel per package, not per person, and excludes Komodo National Park charges. The diving programme sits outside those figures: our dive team quotes it per dive with equipment included, and the park’s diving charges are per person per day. Where a 2027 rate is not yet published on a card, the 2026 figure is the quotation basis and the final number is confirmed in writing before any deposit.

Deposit, balance and confirmation

A 50% deposit secures the vessel and the dates on a private charter, and the balance is due on the balance date printed on your invoice. Open-trip cabins work the same way: 50% to secure the cabin, and the remaining 50% on the balance date printed on your invoice. Card payments run through Stripe and Airwallex, with Visa, Mastercard and American Express accepted, and bank transfer or international wire remain available. Deposits are non-refundable, the balance is non-refundable once paid, and force majeure sailings may be rescheduled rather than refunded, so comprehensive travel insurance is strongly advised.

The reservations desk confirms availability for a specific vessel and date, usually within 24 hours of the request, and the booking is confirmed when the deposit lands. The rate quoted on the invoice is the rate that applies; under the published terms, rates apply to the year in which they are issued, and 2027 departures are quoted on request. The step-by-step sequence, from first message to boarding, is set out in the Komodo liveaboard 2027 booking guide.

Season, peak dates and 2027 quotes

The published rate cards carry no seasonal column. The exceptions are stated on the charter pages: peak dates in July and August and the Christmas to New Year window are priced higher and are quoted separately, on every class. There is no published low-season reduction, so a quotation that undercuts the tables above should be read carefully for what it leaves out, most often the park charges or VAT.

Availability on any given date is confirmed by the reservations desk rather than assumed from a calendar. For 2027 the position on the rate cards is this: Catnazse (2D1N package USD 6,400 for 1 to 12 guests) and Naturalia (2D1N package USD 7,600 for 1 to 8 guests) publish 2027 private-trip package tables, and Malca Voyages and Ayvara publish 2027 rates identical to 2026. Every other vessel named above is quoted for 2027 by the reservations desk in writing, confirmed before the deposit.

Questions travellers ask about liveaboard costs

These are the four price questions the reservations desk answers most often, each answered from the published tables above.

How much does a Komodo liveaboard cost per night?

Whole-boat charters are not sold by the night. They are one package total for the trip, set by duration and guest band: Malca Voyages from USD 5,300 for a 2D1N package (1 to 12 guests), Ayvara USD 5,500 (1 to 8), Catnazse USD 5,900 (1 to 12) and Naturalia USD 7,400 (1 to 8), at 2026 published rates. Sora, Kayra, King Neptune, Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature are quoted by our reservations desk in writing for your dates. A cabin on a shared departure is USD 300 to 800 per person for the 3D2N voyage.

Is the price per person or per boat?

Both bases are published. Charter rates are quoted per package for the entire vessel, by duration and group-size band rather than per head: Malca Voyages publishes USD 5,300 for a 2D1N whole-boat package (1 to 12 guests) and a 3D2N private-trip package of USD 6,000 for 1 to 12 guests or USD 6,700 for 13 to 18, plus USD 300 per additional guest, at 2026 published rates. Shared-departure rates are per person per cabin. To compare the two, divide the package by your headcount: the same USD 6,000 covers two guests or twelve.

What does a 3D2N Komodo liveaboard cost in total?

A 3D2N is a fixed package for the whole boat by group size, not two nights multiplied out. At 2026 published rates the whole-boat package starts at USD 6,000 on Malca Voyages (1 to 12 guests), USD 6,200 on Ayvara (1 to 8), USD 7,100 on Catnazse (1 to 12) and USD 8,200 on Naturalia (1 to 8); larger groups pay the next band, up to USD 10,100 on Naturalia for 17 to 24 guests. Pinta Phinisi, Mosalaki, Neptune Cruise, Komodo Prestige and Komodo Signature are quoted by our reservations desk in writing. All figures are before park charges and VAT where marked.

How does a Raja Ampat liveaboard compare on price?

Raja Ampat private charters are published from USD 6,400 to 35,000 per yacht per night for the whole vessel, with a seven-night minimum from Sorong. Seven nights on a ten-guest phinisi at the USD 6,400 entry rate is USD 44,800 for the entire yacht, about USD 640 per guest per night, before flights. Sorong is a four-hour direct flight from Jakarta or about five hours from Bali with a stop, against 1 hour 15 minutes from Bali to Labuan Bajo for Komodo. Komodo delivers a comparable liveaboard in two to four nights with simpler logistics, which is why many guests sail both, a year apart.

Every rate on this page states its basis, its currency and its year, and the written quotation from the reservations desk is the figure that applies to your dates. To compare cabins on the shared rota or price a whole boat for your group, start with the Komodo liveaboard page, then message the desk on WhatsApp at +62 811 3823 875 or by email at [email protected] with your dates, group size and preferred class.
