Our Komodo Tour 3 Days 2 Nights package is the ultimate Komodo cruise boat tour, ideal for those who want to experience it all. Spend 3 days and 2 nights living aboard a comfortable boat as we venture deep into Komodo National Park's highlights. This tour features guided island treks, spectacular snorkeling spots, and jaw-dropping scenery at every turn. Over three days and two nights, you will visit iconic sites such as Padar Island, Pink Beach, and Komodo Island to observe the famed Komodo dragons in the wild. Wake up to sunrise over misty islands, hike to Padar's summit for a panoramic view of its tri-colored bays, and end your days stargazing from the deck after enjoying a brilliant sunset. The 3D2N Komodo boat tour is our most recommended itinerary for a complete Komodo experience – a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
Highlights: Trek with park rangers to see Komodo dragons on Komodo or Rinca Island, snorkel with manta rays at Makassar Reef (Taka Makassar) and Manta Point, visit the famed Pink Beach for swimming and photography, climb Padar Island for that classic sunrise vista, and cruise through hidden coves and coral-fringed islets. Every night, retire to your cozy cabin to the gentle rocking of the sea. (See our sample Komodo tour 3 days 2 nights itinerary below for more details.)
For the ultimate bespoke adventure, our private Komodo boat tours allow you to charter a vessel and design your own itinerary. This is a fantastic option for families, honeymooners, or groups of friends seeking exclusivity and flexibility. With a private charter, you have a dedicated crew and Komodo National Park private tour guides just for your party, allowing you to explore at your own pace. Choose a luxury yacht or traditional phinisi from our fleet that fits your style – from ultra-luxe vessels with jacuzzi and suites, to smaller intimate boats – and enjoy complete privacy on board. We can customize the tour length (2D1N, 3D2N, 4D3N, or more) and activities to your preferences: add extra diving days, visit less-touristy islands, or arrange special moments like a beach BBQ or a proposal setup.
Why a Private Tour? It's all about personalization. Want to spend an entire afternoon on a deserted beach or linger with the manta rays a bit longer? On a private Komodo tour, the schedule is yours to shape. Our expert team will craft a tailored route hitting all your wishlist spots while avoiding crowds as much as possible. And you'll still enjoy our full-service hospitality: a skilled captain, personal chef, and private guide attending to your needs. (Contact us via WhatsApp for a consultation and we'll recommend the perfect boat and itinerary for your group.)
Short on time? Our Komodo Island Day Tour is a thrilling one-day adventure that hits the park's main highlights in just a single day. Ideal for those based in Labuan Bajo (or even as a day trip from Bali with an early flight), this tour departs in the morning and returns by late afternoon. Board a swift speedboat and visit up to 5–6 top destinations in Komodo National Park in one day. Hike the scenic trail on Padar Island for an unforgettable view, walk among Komodo dragons on Komodo Island with a ranger, snorkel at Pink Beach's vibrant reef, and glide over turquoise waters at Manta Point to spot manta rays – all in just a day! We typically start around 6:00 AM from Labuan Bajo and conclude by 4–5 PM, making it a convenient yet action-packed option.
Despite being shorter, our day tour doesn't skimp on experience. You'll be led by our knowledgeable local guide and provided with lunch, snacks, and snorkeling gear on board. Komodo Island day tours are perfect for travelers who have a tight schedule or prefer to sleep on land each night. Many travelers visiting Bali also opt to add a Komodo day tour by taking a ~1-hour flight to Labuan Bajo in the morning and flying back in the evening – a feasible mini-expedition that turns your Bali trip into a Bali-to-Komodo adventure. (If you're coming from Bali, we can assist in arranging the earliest flights and logistics for a seamless day trip.) Be prepared for an early start and a rewarding day of island-hopping; by nightfall, you'll be back at your hotel with incredible stories and photos. For those with extremely limited time, a day tour offers a taste of Komodo's magic in just one day.
Not sure which package is right for you? We are happy to advise. Whether you dream of a multi-day Komodo cruise or a quick Komodo dragon tour, KomodoLuxury can match you with the perfect itinerary and boat. All tours can be customized, so feel free to ask – our goal is to deliver your dream Komodo experience.
All our tour packages, whether group or private, include licensed English-speaking guides, boat crew, meals as indicated (with special diets accommodated on request), snorkeling gear, and excursions/activities as per the itinerary. Tea, coffee, and water are provided freely onboard. For liveaboard trips, we also include accommodation on the boat and sometimes added perks like fishing gear or paddleboards (varies by boat). Hotel nights in Labuan Bajo before/after the tour are not included, but we can assist with booking or recommendations. National Park fees are generally not included up front because they go directly to the park authority – these will be collected on-site by rangers (we will help facilitate the process).
While every tour can be customized, here are examples of a typical 3D2N Komodo tour itinerary and a 1-day Komodo tour to give you an idea of the flow:

Got questions? We have answers! Below are some frequently asked questions about traveling to Komodo National Park and our tours.
If you're doing a Bali to Komodo Island tour as a day trip, you'd take the first flight out and the last flight back the same day (doable on paper, but a long day!). Many travelers opt to arrive in Labuan Bajo one day before their tour and stay overnight, to ensure a relaxed start. Labuan Bajo has a range of hotels from budget to luxury if you plan to stay.
There is no direct ferry from Bali to Komodo for tour purposes (there are multi-day local ferries that are very slow and not practical for most tourists). Some liveaboard cruise companies offer extended voyages sailing from Bali to Komodo by yacht, but those are usually 1-2 week trips. The most common and convenient route is definitely flying into Labuan Bajo.
In summary: Book a flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo, then join our Komodo tour from Labuan Bajo. We'll handle everything from Labuan Bajo onward. If you need help booking flights or advice on timing, just ask – we're happy to assist to ensure your Komodo Island tour from Bali is seamless.
Things not included are usually: national park entrance fees, personal insurance, airfare to Labuan Bajo, hotel stays before/after the tour, and personal expenses or special requests. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks may be available for purchase on some boats (or we can arrange to stock them for you at cost if you're on a private tour – just let us know your preferences in advance). Dive equipment/rental is not included unless specified in a diving package.
We pride ourselves on running all-inclusive Komodo tour packages so you don't have to worry about the logistics. For instance, if you charter a private tour with us, we take care of the cruise permit, port clearance, ranger fees for your guide, and so on – those administrative things are behind the scenes and included. Essentially, from the moment your tour starts till it ends, you shouldn't have to open your wallet except for souvenir shopping or tipping the crew if you wish.
When you book, we will send you a rundown of "What's Included & Excluded" for full clarity. But as a quick recap: included = transport (boat), food, guide, activities/gear; excluded = park fee, travel to Labuan Bajo, and extras like drinks or dive add-ons. If anything is unclear, please ask. We want you to feel comfortable knowing exactly what you're getting.
However, if you ask us (as Komodo experts), we'd say if you have the time, spend at least 2 or 3 days. The park is vast and best enjoyed at a slightly slower pace. A multi-day tour lets you experience sunrise and sunset in the park, do more snorkeling (day tours have to skip some amazing spots due to time constraints), and truly soak in the atmosphere without rushing. It's possible to "see Komodo in a day," but you will be on the move constantly. Meanwhile, spending a night or two on a boat allows for a more relaxed itinerary – plus the chance to sleep under the stars and enjoy the bioluminescent waters at night, which are magical experiences on their own.
If one day is all you have, don't worry – we'll make it incredible and worthwhile. Just be ready for a big day of adventure. If you can spare more days, we highly encourage doing so, as two or three days Komodo tours are the most popular choice for a reason: you simply get to see and do more, and Komodo is the kind of place you won't regret having extra time in!
In summary, touring Komodo is very safe when done with a professional operator like us. We've taken families with young kids, senior citizens, and all sorts of travelers successfully to Komodo. Follow the guidance of the crew and rangers, use common sense (e.g., don't wander off alone on the islands or in the dark), and you will be just fine. We will brief you on safety do's and don'ts at the start of the trip and before key activities. Your adventure should be thrilling but also safe and worry-free – and we work hard to ensure that.
In summary, April-June and Sept-Oct are probably the sweet spots balancing good weather and fewer crowds. July-August is best for guaranteed sunshine but busiest. We generally avoid late Dec through early March for multi-day trips due to weather, but we can advise based on up-to-date forecasts if you're considering those months.
Also worth noting: If you're keen on a specific wildlife event, for example, manta ray season is typically year-round but they peak in numbers around Sept-Nov. Komodo dragon mating season is July-August (you might see fewer dragons then as they roam for mates) and nesting season is September (when females guard their nests – interesting behavior to witness). None of these will make or break your trip, but slight variations in experience can happen across seasons.
Whenever you choose to go, Komodo will offer something incredible. We operate tours year-round and will ensure you get the best possible experience in any given month.
