Baraka Phinisi is a 25-metre Buginese schooner built from ironwood in Tanah Beru, the traditional boatbuilding village of South Sulawesi, and she works Komodo National Park out of Labuan Bajo. Powered by a Mitsubishi 8DC10 and cruising at around 7 knots, this Komodo liveaboard accommodates up to 16 guests across 7 cabins, each air-conditioned with a private en-suite bathroom, and carries 8.000 litres of fresh water. Navigation and safety run to GPS, compass, depth sounder, VHF, DSC and SSB radio, a satellite phone, life raft, life jackets, fire extinguishers, an oxygen set and first aid kits. With a dedicated dive deck, breathing air compressor and 80 cuft tanks on board, a Komodo boat charter aboard Baraka Phinisi works as readily for certified divers as for snorkellers.
Baraka Phinisi carries air-conditioned cabins with private en-suite bathrooms, and two of them open onto their own private balconies. A dedicated dive deck with a breathing air compressor, 80 cuft tanks, rinse hoses, gear rental and a tender for diving makes it straightforward to get into the water around Komodo Island.
Meals are served in the indoor dining area, while the sun deck is set up for the quiet hours between sites. Satellite internet keeps the boat connected, so a Komodo National Park liveaboard aboard her stays comfortable across longer itineraries.
