A private trip Komodo means one group books the whole boat: dedicated crew, your own route and schedule inside Komodo National Park, sailing from Labuan Bajo. Komodo Luxury has run private charters since 2015. On the four boats on our rate cards (Malca, Ayvara, Catnazse, Naturalia) a charter starts from USD 5,300 per private charter (2D1N, Malca, 1 to 12 guests; 2027 identical), published rate, park charges quoted separately.

Four differences. Exclusivity: only your group on board, against up to 24 guests on a shared sailing. Flexibility: your itinerary and pace, not a fixed 3D2N route. Service: the full crew works for your group alone. Pricing: a private charter is priced per package for the whole boat, from USD 5,300 (2D1N, Malca, 1 to 12 guests); a shared cabin is priced per person, from USD 300. We arrange both.

A private boat trip Komodo is a charter where one group takes the entire vessel in Komodo National Park. Three formats: a phinisi charter on Malca, Ayvara, Catnazse or Naturalia, from USD 5,300 per 2D1N package, whole boat (Malca, 1 to 12 guests); a full-day private speedboat from Labuan Bajo, from USD 800 per boat per day; and larger yachts such as Lamima or Prana, quoted on request.

Yes. A solo guest can charter the whole boat: the 1 to 12 guest band on Malca starts from USD 5,300 per 2D1N package, so the cost per head is highest for one person. Most solo travelers instead take a cabin on a shared 3D2N sailing, from USD 300 per person on Malca. Send your dates to the reservations desk and we confirm in writing what is open.

Three types. Phinisi liveaboards with published rate cards: Malca (7 cabins, up to 21 guests), Ayvara (7 cabins, 15), Catnazse (8 cabins, 18) and Naturalia (8 cabins, 24), from USD 5,300 per 2D1N charter (Malca, 1 to 12 guests). Larger yachts such as Lamima, Prana, Lady Grace, Yumana, Elbark, Gamala, Pinta or Riley, quoted by the desk with no published rate. And private speedboats for full-day trips from Labuan Bajo.

It depends on group size. Up to 15 guests: Ayvara (7 cabins, Starlink Wi-Fi). Up to 18: Catnazse (8 cabins, launched 2024). Up to 24: Naturalia (8 cabins, in service since January 2026). Malca (7 cabins, up to 21) carries the lowest published band. Larger yachts such as Lamima or Prana are quoted on request. Send guest count and dates; the desk shortlists two or three boats.

The four boats on our rate cards are Malca (7 cabins, up to 21 guests), Ayvara (7 cabins, 15), Catnazse (8 cabins, 18) and Naturalia (8 cabins, 24). Beyond them the desk arranges charters on other Labuan Bajo phinisi and yachts, among them Elbark, Yumana, Gamala, Pinta, Lady Grace, Riley, Lamima and Prana; those are quoted case by case and carry no published rate on this page.

Match four things. Guest count, which sets the price band on each boat (Malca 1 to 12 or 13 to 18; Naturalia up to 24). Duration: a full day by speedboat, 2D1N to 7D6N on the phinisi, up to 12D11N on Catnazse. Diving needs. Budget against that band's published figure. Send those four to the desk; we shortlist boats and confirm dates in writing.

Exclusive use of the boat, the full crew (captain, chef, hostess, deckhands, guide), all meals and non-alcoholic drinks, fuel for the agreed itinerary, fresh water, linens, guided island landings, snorkel gear and life vests. Not included: the Komodo National Park ticket, a government charge our desk registers and lists per person on your invoice; alcohol (bring your own); scuba dives; gratuities. Your quotation lists the exact inclusions for your boat.

Standard amenities on Komodo Luxury private trip boats include air-conditioned en-suite cabins, king/queen beds with premium linens, indoor and outdoor dining areas, sun decks with loungers, jacuzzi (on premium tiers like Ayvara, Catnazse, Lamima), Wi-Fi (Starlink on Ayvara; signal-dependent elsewhere), and full watersports kit. Flagship vessels add cinema rooms, spa treatments, dedicated dive compressors with Nitrox, and tender boats for shore landings.

Yes, in private format only; shared sailings are snorkel-only. Certified divers charter one of the phinisi (Catnazse, Naturalia, Malca or Ayvara) and add a diving programme run by our dive team, or book a private diving day trip by speedboat from Labuan Bajo. The programme is quoted per dive, equipment included, confirmed in writing; the park's diving levy is a separate line per diver per day.

A private Komodo snorkeling tour with Komodo Luxury includes unlimited snorkeling at world-class sites (Manta Point, Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Sebayur, Kanawa, Siaba Besar), all snorkel gear (masks, fins, vests in adult and junior sizes) and an in-water guide, plus paddleboards and kayaks on the vessels that carry them. Snorkel safaris are scheduled around tide and current to maximise marine life: manta rays (April–June peak), reef sharks, turtles, schools of pelagic fish, and 1,000+ coral species.

Yes. Every Komodo Luxury private trip includes guided trekking on Komodo Island and Rinca Island with licensed Komodo National Park rangers (mandatory for dragon-spotting). Three trek difficulty levels are available: short (1.5 km, 30 min, Loh Liang or Loh Buaya), medium (3 km, 1 hour, to the deer plains), and long (5 to 7 km, 2.5 hours, Frigate Hill panorama). Sturdy shoes required. Best trekking light: early morning or 4–5 PM.

Yes. Komodo Luxury welcomes families with children of all ages on private trips. Vessels offer interconnecting or adjacent cabins, child-safe deck rails, life jackets in junior sizes, and a kids' menu prepared by the onboard chef. Family-friendly itineraries focus on shallow snorkeling lagoons (Taka Makassar, Pink Beach), short dragon treks on Rinca Island, beach picnics, paddleboarding, and stargazing on the sun deck. Babysitting and child seats can be arranged on request.

The most popular destinations on a Komodo Luxury private trip are: Komodo Island (dragons in natural habitat), Rinca Island (denser dragon population, easier trek), Padar Island (iconic tri-colored beach viewpoint), Pink Beach (rare pink sand from red coral), Manta Point (manta ray cleaning station), Kalong Island (sunset flying-fox migration), Taka Makassar (sandbar), and quieter coves: Sebayur, Kanawa, Siaba, Kelor, Manjarite, Batu Bolong.

Yes. Komodo Luxury offers private day trips to Komodo Island for guests with limited time. Day trips depart Labuan Bajo at 06:00 by fast speedboat, covering 3–4 stops (typically Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo or Rinca Island for dragons, Manta Point) and return by 18:00.

April to October is the dry season and the usual charter window. July and August bring the calmest seas and our busiest roster (53 trips in August 2026 against 7 to 13 in January and February). Manta sightings are reported most often from April to June; they are never certain. November to March is the rainy season: we still sail, with shorter legs, and the Harbour Master regulates all sailing.

Book as soon as your dates are firm. Across our desk bookings the lead time is about two months, longer for July, August and school holidays. For those months, and for 2027 dates, which we have invoiced since May 2026, earlier is safer. Shoulder dates can still open at shorter notice. Send your exact dates; the desk checks availability and confirms in writing.

A private trip Komodo is possible from November to March (monsoon season), but with caveats: more rain, occasional rougher seas, fewer manta sightings, and some dive sites unreachable. Komodo Luxury continues to operate during monsoon for guests on tight schedules, with route flexibility and shorter cruising legs. For premium experiences in November–March, we recommend Raja Ampat instead (its peak season runs the opposite way, November to April).

A private trip Komodo is priced per package for the whole boat, by guest band and year, park charges separate. On our rate cards it starts from USD 5,300 per private charter (2D1N, Malca, 1 to 12 guests; 2027 identical). For 3D2N it runs from USD 6,000 (Malca, 1 to 12 guests) to USD 10,400 (Naturalia, 17 to 24 guests, 2027). Rate cards 11 September 2026, checked 24 September 2026.

We publish the package figure per boat and band, not an average. 3D2N, whole boat, 2026, lowest band: Malca USD 6,000 (1 to 12 guests), Ayvara USD 6,200 (1 to 8), Catnazse USD 7,100 (1 to 12), Naturalia USD 8,200 (1 to 8). The lowest published private figures: a full-day speedboat from Labuan Bajo from USD 800 per boat per day, and a 2D1N charter on Malca from USD 5,300 for the whole boat (1 to 12 guests; 2027 identical). Split across ten guests the per-head cost falls sharply; for a couple it stays high, so couples usually take a shared 3D2N cabin, from USD 300 per person. Park charges separate.

Two formats. A private speedboat for the day from Labuan Bajo starts from USD 800 per boat per day (Speed Boat Catalog 2026), pickup around 06:00, boat and date confirmed by the desk. A full-day phinisi charter with no overnight is published for Catnazse from USD 5,200 (1 to 12 guests, 2026) and Naturalia from USD 5,100 (1 to 8 guests, 2026). Park charges separate.

Four steps. One: send dates, guest count and boat preference to the desk on WhatsApp +62 811 3823 875 or [email protected]. Two: we check availability for your exact dates and send a written quotation. Three: return the reservation form and signed Terms and Conditions; we issue the invoice. Four: a 50% deposit secures the boat; the balance is due on the balance date printed on your invoice.

Share dates, guest count and interests (diving, trekking, a celebration) with the desk. We reply in desk hours, 09:00 to 17:00 WITA, with an itinerary draft and a boat shortlist; one or two revision rounds are normal. Then return the reservation form and signed Terms and Conditions, pay the 50% deposit, and settle the balance on the date printed on your invoice. Menu and dive plan are agreed before departure.

The same way as everyone else: message the reservations desk on WhatsApp +62 811 3823 875 or [email protected] with your dates and guest count. The desk works 09:00 to 17:00 WITA (UTC+8), so a message sent in the US evening is answered during the following Labuan Bajo morning. Invoices are in USD; most international guests pay by card link or Wise, and the paid invoice is your booking confirmation.

Fix dates before flights: send them to the desk, take the written confirmation, then book the Labuan Bajo (LBJ) leg via Bali (DPS) or Jakarta (CGK). We strongly recommend that our guests arrive one day before the trip begins. Send passport details early; the desk needs full name, passport number, nationality and gender to register park tickets. Check the visa rule for your passport with Indonesian immigration.

Judge an operator on four checks: it names the vessel and prints a package figure with year and guest band; park tickets appear as their own line per person on the invoice; availability is confirmed in writing for your exact dates; the booking terms reach you before payment. Komodo Luxury charters are run by PT Komodo Bahari Nusantara from Labuan Bajo, sailing since 2015; rate cards dated 11 September 2026.

The date you enter the park. Since 22 September 2026 the Balai requires every visitor to enter on the date printed on the e-ticket, so our desk registers your tickets for the exact park days of your sailing, never earlier. Purchased tickets are non-refundable; a date change means registering again for a date with available quota. Send each guest's passport name, passport number, nationality and gender.

No. No operator can promise quota; we do not sell it or promise it. Once your dates are fixed, our desk registers the tickets and confirms them in writing; quota is confirmed at registration, never before. Since 22 September 2026 the Balai adds at least 500 places a day to the September to December 2026 quota, and entry is allowed only on the ticketed date. Details: quota update, September 2026.

No. The park ticket sits outside every charter figure here. It is set under PP 36/2024 as displayed by the Balai: IDR 250,000 per international visitor per day, IDR 50,000 per Indonesian visitor per day (IDR 75,000 on Sundays and public holidays); our desk registers guests and lists the park line separately on your invoice. The invoice amount is the one that applies. Purchased tickets are non-refundable.

Only with the park's permission, arranged before you sail. The Balai charges a drone levy under PP 36/2024 of IDR 2,000,000 per unit per day; our desk registers it with your park tickets and lists it on your invoice. The park's rules on where and when you may fly apply on the day, and the ranger decides. Tell the desk at booking which days you intend to fly.
