3. The Currents in Komodo

Komodo National Park is sandwiched between the two large islands of Flores and Sumbawa, which block the north-south water flow and channel it through the narrow straits of Komodo National Park.

The currents around Komodo Island can be pretty quiet, strong, and unpredictable due to the confluence of the Indian and Pacific oceans. While beginners can explore shallow, calm waters and vibrant marine life, seasoned divers can experience adrenaline-filled drift dives in areas known for strong currents and abundant marine life.
