1. Fly from Bangkok to Komodo Island

The best way to reach Komodo Island from Bangkok is by plane, as it is quite a distance. But please note there is no direct flight from Bangkok to Komodo Island. You must head to Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo town, which is the nearest airport to Komodo Island. Labuan Bajo is a small town in East Nusa Tenggara, which is the main gateway to Komodo Island.

A. Suvarnabhumi Airport[BKK] to Komodo Airport [LBJ] via Singapore

  • Outbound flight: Depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 20:25 and arrive at Komodo Airport at 17:00.
  • Details of flight: This flight takes 19 hours and 35 minutes, including two stopovers at Changi [SIN], and Ngurah Rai Airport [DPS].
  • Estimated cost: This route is operated by Scoot + AirAsia Indonesia and will cost you approximately THB 10,874.

B. Suvarnabhumi Airport [BKK] to Komodo Airport [LBJ] via Singapore

  • Outbound flight: Depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 09:25 and arrive at Komodo Airport at 08:20 a day later.
  • Details of flight: This flight takes 21 hours and 55 minutes, including two stopovers at Changi [SIN] and Ngurah Rai Airport [DPS].

C Suvarnabhumi Airport [BKK] to Komodo Airport [LBJ] via Jakarta

  • Outbound flight: Depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 14:10 and arrive at Komodo Airport at 14:25. 
  • Details of flight: This flight takes 23 hours and 15 minutes, including two stopovers at Soekarno Hatta [CGK] and Ngurah Rai Airport [DPS].

2. Boat Tour to Komodo Island

Please note! Komodo National Park can only be reached by boat, departing from Labuan Bajo port to Komodo Island. From the airport, you will need to take a taxi or grab, which will cost you about SGD 8,61 to get to Labuan Bajo harbor.It is best to take an overnight boat tour to Komodo Island to get the full Komodo experience.
