Receive your curated yacht proposals — typically 3–5 vessel options matched to your group and budget within 24 hours.
Review the proposal and confirm your preferred yacht. A 30–50% deposit secures your booking and vessel.
Work with our pre-departure concierge to finalize the itinerary, dietary requirements, dive certification details, and any special arrangements (celebrations, dietary needs, equipment rental).
Fly to Sorong, Indonesia. Our team meets you at Domine Eduard Osok Airport. Transfers to the yacht are handled by us. Your charter begins.
Most yacht charters in Raja Ampat begin in Sorong, the gateway city to the archipelago. After arriving at Sorong Airport, guests are transferred to the yacht before beginning their private sailing journey.
A Raja Ampat yacht charter is a private sailing experience where travelers rent an entire yacht with crew to explore the islands of Raja Ampat. The charter typically includes accommodation, meals, snorkeling or diving equipment, and a customized itinerary across the archipelago.
Charter rates start from USD 4,000 per night for a boutique phinisi, up to USD 17,000 for VVIP superyachts. This includes full crew, meals, fuel, snorkeling and diving equipment, and airport transfers. The cost per person for 8-10 guests is often similar to a high-end resort but with more privacy.
The best time is from October to April, during the northwest monsoon. This period offers calm seas in the south and prime manta ray and whale shark sightings. May to September has stronger winds but is great for the northern islands.
Diving certification is required if you plan to dive, as only certified divers can explore the best dive sites. However, snorkeling does not require certification, and many guests charter yachts for snorkeling and island exploration. PADI dive masters are available for certified divers to guide them to top dive locations.
We recommend at least 7 nights (8 days) to experience both the northern and southern regions. For a more relaxed experience, 10-14 nights is ideal for unhurried exploration.
